Bringing a litter into the world is a responsibility we take to heart, not a hobby or a side business. Every decision we make starts with the same question: is this best for the puppies and the families who will love them?
We breed rarely, intentionally, and only from dogs we know inside and out. Here is the standard we hold ourselves to with every litter.
Ask us anything →Both parents are screened for the hip, eye, and genetic conditions relevant to their lines before they are ever bred. We keep the results on file and share them openly.
We pair for temperament, structure, and health, never for color or trend alone. A calm, sound companion matters far more than a fashionable coat.
Puppies grow up underfoot with gentle daily handling, new sounds, surfaces, and people, so they meet the world curious and confident rather than fearful.
We raise only a couple of litters a year so every mama fully recovers and every puppy gets the individual attention that shapes a wonderful adult dog.
We get to know your family and match you with the puppy whose personality fits your home, energy, and experience, rather than handing out pups in line order.
If life ever changes and you cannot keep your dog, we ask that they come back to us. No Hickory Hills puppy should ever end up in a shelter.
